[2022] Design of a Cryogenic Isolator and MUX for Quantum Computers
Cryogenic isolators are commonly used in qubit readout systems. However they are currently implemented with bulky ferrite devices, thus preventing system integration. Integrated circulators operating at room temperature have been recently proposed for full-duplex radio transceivers, exploiting time-varying circuits to achieve the isolator’s non-reciprocal response. In this project, we aim to design the first fully integrated CMOS isolator operating at cryogenic temperatures.
