Padmakumar Rao


Dr. Padmakumar Rao was born in Kochi, Kerala, in the year 1979. After his education in India, he started his doctoral work under the guidance of Prof. Theuwissen at Technical University, Delft, in the field of CMOS image sensors. After his graduation, he continued to peruse his academic career as a researcher at IMEC, Belgium for 3 years in the field of backside illuminated CMOS imagers for scientific applications. He worked for 1 year at ONSemiconductor, Belgium in the field of advanced CMOS Imagers. Thereafter, he started his current position as a researcher at TUDelft in the project headed by Prof. Nihtianov.

His hobbies are amateur radio (call sign PG3PK), and other wacky things related to technology.
